Public House Petersham To Do In August
If you love pork, then this is the event for you! On Sunday, August 13, The Public House Petersham and The Erko are joining forces to present an afternoon of porcine devotion, taking over the PHP carpark for the second annual Pigfest. Expect tasty eats ranging from pulled pork burgers to a pig-on-the-spit, a selection of brews from the likes of Stone & Wood and Young Henrys, and vinyl tunes courtesy of Gonz. There’ll also be a meat tray raffle, with funds going to charity.
Bar No. 5 To Do In August
Did you know that you can now get your midweek music fix at Bar No. 5, every Thursday night? From 6-8pm each week, the Alexandria warehouse bar will play host to a different live act, with artists like Don Hopkins, Jesse Redwing, and Mark N The Blues on the calendar for August. Best enjoyed alongside some slow-cooked maple bourbon brisket, and a couple of the bar’s local craft beers.
New Britannia To Do In August
When your Saturday evening calls for some fun acoustic tunes, get yourself down to The New Britannia. Each weekend, The Chippendale pub hosts a different acoustic artist from 7pm, with upcoming names including the likes of Miranda Ward, Josh Needs, and Mark Crotti. Settle in with one of the kitchen’s hand-stretched, New York-style pizzas, and groove your way through the weekend.
The Carrington To Do In August
Add some fabulousness to your hump day, with a little help from the one and only, Maxi Sheild, who’ll be hosting The Carrington’s weekly Turbo Bingo Ball for the month of August. 1st Birthday Dance Party @ The Dolphin To Do In August
While it seems like only yesterday that The Dolphin landed on the scene, it’s actually about to celebrate its first birthday. Head along this Thursday, August 3, to help the pub celebrate in style, at its dance-infused birthday bash. There’ll be eats like porchetta panini and pizza Romana from Maurice Terzini and Monty Kulodrovic, a mortadella party in the wine room, a cracking drinks list curated by James Hird, and an epic musical program headlined by 80’s rockers, The Models. Fonzarelli's To Do In August
Over in Surry Hills, Fonzarelli’s has launched a killer new hump day situation, with its Burgers, Beers, and Bands nights. Get in from 7.30pm each Wednesday for some Motown, funk, and soul tunes from the house band, while you wrap your mouth around the weekly-changing, $14 beer-and-burger combo. Entry is free!

The Morrison’s annual Oyster Festival returns for its fifth year, set to deliver an entire month of mollusc-related fun.
